South Africa: 279 Rhinos Killed Since Beginning of 2011

The slaughter continues unabated.


South Africa’s Water and Environmental Affairs Minister Edna Molewa has revealed that 279 rhinos have been massacred since January 2011.

Just over 60 percent (169) of the killings occurred in the country’s premier tourist destination, Kruger National Park.
