World Rhino Day is arriving early in Australia!

The Asian Rhino Project will be soon hitting the streets of Perth to shake their tins, raise money, and enjoy an early World Rhino Day celebration!
On Friday, September 2nd from 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM, the Asian Rhino Project’s “Tin Shake Day” will be held in Perth’s central business district. Volunteers will be shaking tins and collecting funds for the three Asian rhino species.
If you want to join up with the Asian Rhino Project for this fundraiser, please contact sophie.dentrinos (at) asianrhinos.org.au for more information.
Two of the three Asian rhino species – Javan and Sumatran – are classified as Critically Endangered by the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species™.
The greater one-horned (Indian) rhino is classified as Vulnerable.
About the Asian Rhino Project

The Asian Rhino Project raises funds from donors, corporate sponsors and memberships, merchandise sales, events, and educational programs. Contributions to in-situ programs are made through partnerships formed with conservation organizations in the field.
Donations to the Asian Rhino Project over $2 are tax deductible and 100% of these funds are directly committed to the conservation of this flagship species.

I hope this project is a huge success! We are so lucky to be able to see the critically endangered Sumatran rhinos at our zoo.
Do you know about Assam’s greater one horned rhino? Have you ever heard the name of Kaziranga national park?
