Is Paris Hilton’s ‘Marijuana’ Lawyer Defending South African Rhino Horn Syndicate?

An alleged rhino horn syndicate is apparently not the first high-profile client for one South African lawyer.

Animal lover Paris Hilton might not be too thrilled with attorney Terry Price these days: Price is said to be part of the defense team trying to keep an alleged rhino horn syndicate out of jail in South Africa. Price is also the lawyer responsible for getting Ms. Hilton’s marijuana charges dropped during her World Cup visit.

South Africa’s Times Live reported that Terry Price is fighting the State’s request to postpone the criminal trial of rhino horn syndicate suspects George Fletcher, Gert Saaiman, and Frans van Deventer.

Advocate Terry Price, responsible for getting Paris Hilton off on dagga possession charges during the World Cup, objected to the postponement.

In response to intimidation claims by the State’s star witness Gideon van Deventer, Price was quoted as saying such claims are merely a “red herring” and without merit.

As for Ms. Hilton, attorney Price explained her situation was just a case of mistaken identity.

After the hearing, in which Ms Hilton appeared in thigh-high leather boots and tight jeans, her lawyer Terry Price insisted she should never have been arrested.

The socialite with a soft spot for critters recently added 20 rabbits to her menagerie when she rescued 20 rabbits from becoming snake food.

Rhino killings driven by demand for traditional ‘medicines’

South Africa’s iconic rhinos are under siege, due to the demand from China and Vietnam for illegal rhino horn in traditional medicines. However, rhino horn has been extensively analyzed and proven to have no medicinal value.

According to WWF, more than 600 rhinos have been gunned down since 2005, and the wildlife trade monitoring network TRAFFIC found that illegal rhino horn sourced from southern Africa is destined for consumer markets in China and Vietnam.

At least eight rhinos were slaughtered in Kruger National Park during the 2010 World Cup.

  1. This article is beneath you. Enjoyed the website until I read this very YOU Magazine article. Next thing you are going to be telling us “SHOCK! HORROR ! LAWYER DEFENDS MURDERERS & CRIMINALS !!” Well of course, Terry Price is an attorney and will defend anyone who can afford his fee. Did you think he would turn down the Fletcher Gang on principle?? Please.

People are so very quick to judge, it’s amazing to me that small minded people would judge someone like Terry Price for doing his job. [DELETED] might you entertain the idea that these people were innocent and have been put thru pure hell because of a disgruntled fired employee.
