Trio Busted in West Bengal for Attempting to Sell Rhino Horn

Three people were arrested in West Bengal when they attempted to sell a rhino horn to undercover officers.

A rhino horn was recovered and three people were arrested in Siliguri, West Bengal, when they attempted to sell the horn to undercover police officers posing as rhino horn buyers.

The trio was identified as Mani Kumar Tamang and Karma Tshering Bhutia, both from Ravangla in South Sikkim, and Gautam Dubbu from Darjeeling. Tamang is reportedly a government employee.

According to Chennai Online, the rhino horn had been in the possession of Tamang and Bhutia for the past two years, and Dubbo was acting as their “agent” in the sale.
